Deep, dark, dense purple core, the rim shows lively crimson hues. Pronounced fruit aromas of cassis and plums. Cigar box and pencil shaving aromas are lifted by a delicate floral note. Cool and lithe, the palate is defined by fine grained, chalky tannins that provide length and backbone to the wine. Compact flavours of cacao, cassis and liquorice meld with mellow barrel maturation notes providing weight and fullness through to the finish.
