Forward aromas of freshly baked brioche, marzipan and creamy autolysis characters. The firmly structured palate with its fine bead and persistent mousse is balanced by weight and richness that comes from extended ageing on lees. The charming finish is characterized by bracing freshness and length.
100% Chardonnay from the Franschhoek Valley, whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel. First bottled under crown cap in April 2019 and disgorged in November 2022 after more than three and a half years on the lees. The 2019 harvest was particularly celebrated for its balance of freshness and acidity — ideal conditions for a world-class Cap Classique.
